Showcasing the exciting new partnership between the St. Lucie Sheriff’s Office and St. Lucie Fire District, the 2018 Safety Festival will feature a SWAT scenario requiring the firefighter/paramedic members of the team to work hand-in-hand with their law enforcement counterparts.
“This demo will show how our SWAT medics work in tandem with other SWAT members to provide safety and backup in dangerous situations,” stated Fire Chief Nate Spera.
The demonstration will be one of several featuring our local First Responders. Jaws-of-Life returns along with a new HazMat demo from our Firefighters/Medics. The Port St. Lucie Police will feature their new motorcycles in an exciting demonstration of skill. K-9’s, a fan favorite will also return. WPBF 25 a proud sponsor will also bring out many of their on-air personalities to meet the public, answer questions and be available for photos.
